Workers we place
When we place you with a Vermont employer, you are generally employed by VT Employment Agency on a W-2 basis and assigned to the client's worksite; in limited cases (typically specialized or short-duration roles), placement may be on a 1099 contractor basis, which we will tell you in writing before you start. Placements are at-will: either you, the client, or VT Employment Agency may end the assignment at any time, for any lawful reason, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Day-to-day work direction comes from the client during your assignment; pay, tax withholding, and HR matters are handled by VT Employment Agency (or our payroll provider) for W-2 placements.
